Office Depot worker fired over refusal to print Charlie Kirk posters

Office Depot has fired a Michigan worker who refused to print Charlie Kirk memorial posters and dismissed them instead as “propaganda.”

Video of the exchange has racked up more than 4.4 million views since it was posted online Friday by conservative political advocacy group, the Michigan Forward Network.

It shows a customer approaching a group of employees at an Office Depot in Portage, among them a woman who identifies herself as the manager. The customer then tells them he’s there to pick up an order, specifically posters with the phrase “The legendary Charlie Kirk, 1993-2025” over an image of the conservative activist.

“Yeah, so, we don’t print propaganda,” the manager says.

When asked what made the poster propaganda, another employee responds by telling the customer it’s because Kirk is “a political figure.”

Republican activist Matthew DePerno told TMZ that the Kalamazoo County Republican Party ordered the posters on Friday just before 2:30 p.m. They then received a phone call informing them the order could not be filled.

DePerno said the posters were intended to be used at a vigil for Kirk, who was fatally shot Wednesday during a Q&A on the Utah Valley University campus in Orem. Kirk, a staunch supporter of President Trump and co-founder of Turning Points USA, was 31 years old.

Amid backlash sparked by the clip shared online, Office Depot issued an apology, saying it was “deeply concerned by the unfortunate customer experience that occurred at Store 3382.”

It continued: “Upon learning of the incident, we immediately reached out to the customer to address their concerns and seek to fulfill their order to their satisfaction. We also launched an immediate internal review, and as a result, the associate involved is no longer with us.”
